The Opportunity:
We are looking for Senior / Staff Nurse to join us for various disciplines to provide high quality patient care.
Job Responsibilities:
Performs continuous patient assessment, vital signs monitoring, documentation in the pre and post procedural phases.
Assists radiologist / circulates competently in invasive diagnostic procedures/ scans including those under radiation.
Administers medications as required, under the supervision of the radiologists.
Advises patient/next of kin (NOK)/caregiver on post procedure care.
Complies with strict standards of asepsis for patients undergoing radiological procedures.
Carries out appropriate infection control measures when in contact with sterile or contaminated equipment / instruments.
Coordinates appointments for outpatients and elective admission for procedures.
Maintains proper inventories of all items used throughout the radiology procedures.
Supports nurses as a resource information person teaching nurses to be competent in delivering care to patients post radiological procedures.
Participates in quality improvement projects and/or radiology nursing related research.
Job Requirements:
Diploma in Nursing or State Registered Nurse Certificate.
Relevant Advanced Nursing Diploma or equivalent is preferred for candidate applying for the Senior Staff Nurse position.
Experience in Department of Diagnostic Imaging (DDI) will be of an advantage.
