The Family Physician is responsible for the care of clients seen at the Family Medicine Clinic (FMC) He/She will be working in a multidisciplinary and multi services environment consisting of care professionals such as care support staff, nurses and allied health professionals.

You will need to:

Professional Responsibilities

  • Practice at all times in accordance with the SMC Physician's pledge and abide by the SMC Ethical Code of Conduct
  • Keep abreast of medical information and developments through CME events to maintain professional registration status
  • Keep abreast of the group's medical practice
  • Practice evidence based medicine in accordance with clinical practice guidelines, agency for care effectiveness guidelines, or best practices tailored to the context of individual patient's needs and values
  • Conduct a practice that upholds all professional standards and obligations expected of medical practitioners

Responsibilities at Family Medicine Clinic

  • See a treat a wide range of medical conditions commonly seen in primary care across all age groups, including women and children
  • Be familiar and practice in accordance with national childhood and adult immunization schemes
  • Conduct reviews for chronic medical conditions, including providing primary care for mental health and practice in a manner aligned with the patient's goals of care, according to best medical evidence and practices.
  • Diagnose and treat acute medical conditions, prescribe appropriate medications and perform minor procedures
  • Conduct health screenings, prepare reports and advise on vaccinations
  • Facilitate referrals for patients who require services beyond the scope of the family medicine clinic
  • Administrative duties including producing memos, correspondence with insurers and preparing medical reports,
  • Work closely with fellow doctors and the clinic managers for financial sustainability, improve clinical and process quality in matters involving but not limited to Healthier SG and right siting initiatives.
  • Participate in and contribute to whole of organization integrated care initiatives


Requirements:

You should possess :

  • Basic medical degree recognized by the Singapore Medical Council
  • Full registration with the Singapore Medical Council
  • Family Physician Registration
  • Experience working in a General Practice setting
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

It would be great if you:

  • Possess other graduate diplomas in Child and Adolescent health, Mental Health, Sports Medicine or Geriatric Medicine would be an advantage
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have a willingness to serve and improve the lives of the elderly
  • Have an interest in medical innovation and novel care delivery models
  • Have experience working in a General Practice setting as a clinic Anchor
  • Have Proficiency in Google Workspace tools
