Job Description & Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Care: Provide safe and competent nursing care, including patient assessments on admission and throughout labor, monitoring patient progress, and assisting physicians with procedures.
• Delivery Support: Work with obstetricians, anaesthesiologists, and midwives to guide patients through the labor process.
• Monitoring & Assessment: Conduct fetal monitoring to measure baby’s heartbeat, monitor contractions, and manage pain relief.
• Emergency Response: Provide care during Caesarean sections (planned or emergency) and manage post-operative recovery.
• Care Coordination: Act as a Nurse In-Charge, facilitating care coordination within the team, improving care processes, and maintaining safe, hygienic environments.
• Education: Educate patients and families on pregnancy, self-care techniques, and neonatal care.
• Supervision: Guide new/junior staff and supervise nursing students on attachment.
