Job Description & Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Care: Provide safe and competent nursing care, including patient assessments on admission and throughout labor, monitoring patient progress, and assisting physicians with procedures.
- Delivery Support: Work with obstetricians, anaesthesiologists, and midwives to guide patients through the labor process.
- Monitoring & Assessment: Conduct fetal monitoring to measure baby’s heartbeat, monitor contractions, and manage pain relief.
- Emergency Response: Provide care during Caesarean sections (planned or emergency) and manage post-operative recovery.
- Care Coordination: Act as a Nurse In-Charge, facilitating care coordination within the team, improving care processes, and maintaining safe, hygienic environments.
- Education: Educate patients and families on pregnancy, self-care techniques, and neonatal care.
- Supervision: Guide new/junior staff and supervise nursing students on attachment.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Registered Nurse with a valid Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) license.
- Experience: Experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G), labor and delivery, or high-acuity nursing is highly valued.
- Skills: Compassion, resilience, clinical expertise, and ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility: Able to work 3 rotating shifts
