To provide peri-operative nursing care in the OT and Endoscopy environment, including assisting surgeons during operations (scrubbing), maintaining sterile technique, and supporting patient recovery following surgical or endoscopic procedures. This role helps ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care in the Day Surgery & Endoscopy services at JMC.

• Scrub and circulate during surgical procedures in the operating theatre. Assist the surgical team by preparing instruments, anticipating needs, maintaining sterility, and supporting procedural flow.
• Assist in Endoscopy procedures (prepare, decontaminate scopes and instruments, support during procedure).
• Provide postoperative recovery care: monitoring, assessing, and ensuring patient safety post-procedure.
• Assist in admitting patients for day surgery / endoscopy, including reception and pre-op preparation.
• Support decontamination / sterilisation of surgical instruments and scope equipment.
• Assist senior nurses and other team members in theatre-related support areas, including Theatre Support & Sterile Supply Unit (TSSU) where required.
• Maintain documentation of surgical / procedural activities, patient records, instrument accountability, and compliance with safety / infection control protocols.
• Participate in training, quality improvement, audits of theatre / endoscopy service processes.

Clinic Hours : Mon to Fri, Office Hours 8am to 5.30pm
