Alexandra Hospital, a member of the National University Health System (NUHS) cluster, is a historic site providing integrated, holistic care to patients. As a test bed for innovative care approaches in Singapore, we are currently running a diverse portfolio of studies, including a new randomized controlled trial recruiting patients from outpatient clinics across NUHS, Alexandra Hospital, and National University Polyclinics.
We are seeking a Research Assistant/Associate to support our upcoming randomized controlled trial. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in various aspects of the study, from literature review and IRB submission to recruitment coordination and data management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and appraise publications
- Coordinate IRB submissions, including new applications, amendments, and annual reports
- Collaborate with principal investigators, research fellows, and program managers to plan, prepare, and implement study protocols
- Manage research study activities, including patient recruitment, data collection, analysis, and management
- Extract and analyze data from electronic health records
- Provide regular research updates to the study team
- Maintain high standards of professional conduct and record-keeping in accordance with hospital policies, ethics requirements, and local regulations
- Assist with other research-related duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator
Qualifications:
• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Science, Public Health, or Social Science
• Previous experience in clinical research preferred (patient recruitment, data collection, and/or data analysis)
• Strong ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment with diverse stakeholders • Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Critical thinking skills and quick learning ability • Experience in publishing research findings is advantageous
The Research Assistant/Associate will work under the supervision of the Research Fellow and Principal Investigator (PI), liaising with relevant hospital personnel to ensure smooth recruitment and data collection processes.
