The SingHealth Investigational Medicine Unit (IMU) is a dedicated clinical research unit that
supports investigators and sponsors in the conduct of early phase clinical trials and clinical
research.
Managing clinical trials and clinical research from a diverse therapeutic group such as
oncology, infectious diseases, renal and cardiology, you will participate in trial procedures as
part of the study team in clinical research. You will assist the investigators in performing clinical
trial procedures such as collection of blood samples and other biological specimens at the
specific time point, administering investigational products such as drugs or medical devices,
and executing precise data recording.
You will also perform intensive monitoring of research subjects in early phase clinical trials in
compliance with ICH-GCP [International Conference on Harmonisation of Technical
Requirements for Registration of Pharmaceuticals for Human Use (ICH) - Good Clinical
Practice (GCP)].
Training will be provided for all Clinical Research Nurses. The work requires one to work from
Mondays – Fridays and will have most weekends off; shift duty may be required from time to
time. This will be a 2-year contract role. The contracts are renewable, depending on the performance of the individual.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing equivalent
• Recognised nursing qualification and registered with Singapore Nursing Board (SNB)
with valid BCLS certificate
• At least 2 years’ clinical nursing experience; clinical research experience preferred
• Nurses with prior experience in chemotherapy and cardiology trained ward nurses
preferred
• Knowledge of ICH-GCP
• Meticulous with trial procedures and documentation, possess good interpersonal and
organising skills
• Ability to perform shifts, including night duties. Some weekends duties may be required
from time to time.
