The incumbent will provide nursing care and patient education to patients at Ambulatory Care Centres (ACC) in accordance with the departmental SOP and standards of care. This involves coordinating with the other teams at ACC to ensure smooth workflow and operational efficiency.

  • Practise within own level of competence to promote safety of self and patients in accordance with SNB code of practise and core competencies coded in SNB.
  • Deliver quality and safe nursing care to patients.
  • Perform triage and assist in emergencies.
  • Assist doctors on clinical procedures and venepuncture.
  • Perform treatments as prescribed by doctors.
  • Perform clinical measurements including but not limited to nebuliser, ECG, stress ECG (treadmill).
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation: Perform rescue ventilation with bag-valve-mask device and external cardiac massage.
  • Ensure proper follow up on the treatment plans.
  • Provide information, updates, and education to patients and/or caregivers.
  • Management of patient's medical reports and demonstrate proper use and care of equipment.
  • Maintain proper documentation of day-to-day nursing records.
  • Identify process gaps and provide solution when necessary.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring of junior staffs when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Certificate/Diploma in Nursing
  • SNB Registered Nurse Practicing Certificate

Skills

  • Able to converse in fluent English and second language.
  • Maintain valid BCLS and AED certification.
  • Able to perform all clinical competencies in accordance with the licensure requirements.
  • Able to lead junior staff and provide guidance.
  • Able to communicate with patients from all backgrounds. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks concurrently, such as answering patients' queries, administration of procedures and manage timeline.
  • Able to handle IT aspects of the job (Eg. Clinic management system)
